Team Bios
D’Arcy Drollinger, Executive & Artistic Director - D’Arcy is an actor, writer, director, producer and entrepreneur. D’Arcy is the executive director of San Francisco-based nonprofit, Oasis Arts, dedicated to providing access and resources to LGBTQIA+ artists. D’Arcy is also the owner and artistic director of OASIS, voted San Francisco's best nightclub/cabaret. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Drollinger created Meals On Heels, which partnered with local restaurants, and employed out-of-work drag artists who delivered food, cocktails and socially-distanced lip-synch performances to give a little “sparkle” for the community during shelter in place.
D’Arcy has written & directed over a dozen original works, including: Bitch Slap, Disastrous and Scalpel, as well as the web series Hot Trash. Drollinger’s first feature film, based on the hit stage show, Shit & Champagne, became an instant cult classic. Drollinger is the producer, director and co-star of the long running Bay Area holiday tradition, The Golden Girls Live. Other credits include: The Producers (first Broadway production), and Hairspray the Musical (first Broadway production). In 2023, D’Arcy was appointed San Francisco Drag Laureate, the first Drag Laureate ever in the world.
Maxx Kurzunski, Production Manager - Maxx is a lighting designer, technical director and production designer. They have worked in both San Francisco and New York. Maxx was the Senior Lighting Engineer for Advanced Systems Group at Google, managing lighting technology and design for their multiple onsite event venues, before joining the team at Oasis Arts. Maxx was the resident lighting designer at San Francisco's Custom Made Theatre Co. between 2012 and 2019, working on almost every show the company produced in that time. With Custom Made they designed lighting for 30+ shows, including two new works with subsequent off-Broadway premieres.
Monique Jenkinson, Associate Director of Programs & Development - Monique is an artist, choreographer, performer and writer. Her work dwells at the intersection of contemporary dance, cabaret and essay. She was the first cis-woman ever, anywhere, crowned as a pageant-winning drag queen, and her performance works have toured nationally and internationally in wide-ranging contexts from nightclubs to theaters to museums. Honors include residencies at Headlands Center for the Arts, Tanzhaus Zürich and Atlantic Center for the Arts, an Irvine Fellowship and residency at the de Young Museum, and generous foundation support. Her memoir, Faux Queen is out now on Amble Press.
Beatrice Thomas, Programs, Director of Community Engagement - Beatrice Thomas is a multidisciplinary artist, producer, consultant, and storyteller with over 30 years of experience. She is the founder of Authentic Arts and Media and holds degrees from Hampshire College and the University of Texas at Austin. Her work blends performance, visual arts, and media to explore cultural identity, performance, spectacle, and virtual reality. As a consultant, she has worked with the City of San Francisco and various arts organizations, presenting workshops on grant strategy, queer arts, and community engagement. Recognized with a Kennedy Center Citizen Artist Fellowship, Beatrice's influence extends nationally and internationally. Recently, she participated in a virtual reality creative research residency with Bombina Bombast in Sweden.
Jason Hoover - Jason is the current Managing Director of the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre. Handling venue operations and bookings from across the globe. He is the former Artistic Director for Ray of Light Theatre. His artistic credits include: Assassins, The Full Monty, Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods, CARRIE the Musical, Triassic Parq, Yeast Nation, Heathers: The Musical, LIZZIE, The Wild Party, Little Shop of Horrors, Silence! The Musical, The Rocky Horror Show, American Psycho the Musical and the Cabaret Spotlight Series.
Evan Favala - Evan Favela aka Évian is renowned for producing large scale design and installation works for local performances and venues throughout the Bay Area, most notable for their work at Oasis nightclub in San Francisco. Evian has worked as a designer on almost every Oasis Cabaret Production since 2021. Evian is the winner of the 2020 ButchQueen competition and is involved in nightlife harm reduction, having secured sponsorships to fund fentanyl test strips for partygoers at Princess SF. Evian also provides vocals for the queer post-punk band Lolly Gaggers.
Kipper Yanaga - Kipper Snacks is a trans entertainer, mother of the Haus of Snacks, and clothing and costume designer under the label Snackum Dackum. Specializing in drag, burlesque, and theater, all pieces are custom, one of a kind, and hand made locally in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco. You can see her work on Rupauls Drag Race, We're Here, Black Benetar's Black Magic Cabaret as well as many stages across the country.
Michael Phillis - Michael Phillis has been making big gay art in San Francisco for the past 20 years. His original LGBTQ-themed plays and solo shows (D*Face, Dolls, Wish We Were Here, Sqream, The Hand that Rocks the Crawford, Patty From HR) have been produced in theaters, universities, festivals, and stuffy dark rooms all over the world. As the co-creator and director of Baloney, he has produced more than 35 shows in various cities. His company Pop Culture Immersives combines nostalgia and experiential theater with original works like Thighs Wide Shut and Pride in Gotham.
Pseuda- Nick Navarro aka Pseuda is a graphic designer, videographer, motion designer and editor from San Francisco, California. Pseuda is a drag performance artist, event producer, nightlife personality and in-house designer at SF Oasis, one of the country's biggest queer cabaret and drag clubs. Pseuda is a multimedia performance artist who uses queer nightlife and drag performance aesthetics to create jarring and out of the box imagery.
Rory Davis - Rory Davis is a choreographer and dance instructor based in San Francisco. As the co-creator of Baloney, he has choreographed hundreds of dances, demos, and happenings for shows, events, street fairs, and celebrations all over the country. He teaches a weekly dance and fitness class for all body types and levels of experience. As the resident choreographer for Peaches Christ Productions, he has staged numbers alongside Mink Stole, Jennifer Tilly, Cloris Leachman, and Pam Grier. He was also Cher’s bodyguard for a single fateful evening and they both lived.
Steve Bolinger - Steven Bolinger is a San Francisco-based multi-instrumentalist and composer. He has contributed his talents to the musical productions of D’Arcy Drollinger/Oasis Nightclub Cabaret (“SQREAM", "Golden Girls Live", "Above and Beyond the Valley of the Ultra-Showgirls"), Ray of Light Theatre ("Rocky Horror", "Hedwig and the Angry Inch"), Peaches Christ Productions ("Showgirls: The Musical"). He composed original music for the film “Sh*t & Champagne” and Third Cloud from the Left stage productions "The Mariner" and "Putas Asesinas", co-wrote songs for the original stage musical "Dernier Cri”, and produced parody pop hits for web series "Hot Trash". Steve has released dozens of albums of original music, including his latest release, “Sabir”.
